Materials:



  1. 8 ½ ” x 11” White Paper or Larger
  2. Pencil
  3. Paint (Watercolor, Acrylics), Crayons or Pastels
  4. Paint Brush
  5. Markers
  6. Ruler


Directions:





  1. Use your ruler to create the angles for the "roof", roughly about 4.5 inches on either side
  2. Create the walls of the "house" with two angled lines about 3.25 inches on either side
  3. Close the bottom of the angled "wall" lines with a 4 inch line evenly spaced horizontally
  4. Find the middle of the horizontal line and draw a vertical line to the end of the paper, this is the birdhouse stand
  5. Cross the vertical line with a smaller horizontal line about 3 inches to complete the birdhouse stand
  6. Add any details you would like to the birdhouse, I used a heart. Don't forget to include a circle opening
  7. To create the bird draw a teardrop shape for the body, a triangle for the nose and a half circle for the wings and other details that you would like such as feathers
  8. Ready to paint? Use your watercolor palette or acrylic paints to paint as you would like, finish by outlining all details with a marker, black works best,create some highlighted areas with a pastel crayon any light color will work.
