Materials:




  1. 1.5 sheets of 8 ½ ” x 11” White Paper or Larger
  2. Protractor or Paper Plate, Plastic Cup, something to help you make the egg shape
  3. Pencil
  4. Glue stick
  5. Markers
  6. Paint (Watercolor, Acrylics), Crayons or Pastels
  7. Paint Brush


Directions:



  1. Use a protractor or whatever you have on hand to help create the egg shape, leave the top of the "egg" open to create a feather top for your chickadee
  2. Now make cracks in you "egg" about mid-way horizontally across your egg
  3. With the half sheet of paper rip or cut small squares, these are your "egg shell" splatters
  4. Now it's time to paint, or color. Start with the chickadee, color or paint yellow, now the egg shell, use white or a very pale grey. Paint/color your "sky" blue and the "grass" in shades of green
  5. Fill in the beak and eyes with orange and black markers respectively
  6. Take your ripped/cut squares and glue them randomly around your chickadee
