Printmaking with Fruit

SKU:
$5.00
5 8 $5.00 - $8.00

per item

Materials:

  1. 1 sheet of 8 ½ ” x 11” White Paper or Larger
  2. Paint (Acrylics)
  3. Paint Brush
  4. Paper Plates (2)
  5. Paper towels
  6. Fruit (preferable those that are no longer good to eat)

Directions:

  1. Cut the fruits (we chose lemons and clementines) in half and dry each piece on a paper towel, flesh side down for approximately 15 minutes
  2. Select your paint colors, acrylic paints work best and arrange them on one of the paper plates
  3. Use a paint brush and paint the fruit halves with your color selections, you may also dip the fruit halves in the paints and twits a bit to coat well, this works too
  4. Use the second paper plate to do a first run of your "stamp" to get some of the excess paint off before stamping your paper (we learned this the hard way😉)
  5. Now stamp your design on your paper, experiment with patterns
