As Black History Month approaches, Express Yourself Studios is excited to announce an upcoming art exhibition that aims to celebrate the essence of Black joy. We are seeking submissions from talented local artists to showcase the vibrant and nuanced experiences of Black life in everyday settings.
Our theme, “Black Joy: Just Being,” encourages artists to capture the beauty and happiness found in the simplicity of everyday life, highlighting the diverse range of emotions, activities, and connections within the Black community.
We encourage you to submit pieces that depict authentic and uplifting representations of Black people in various natural and urban settings, reflecting the essence of joy in their daily lives.
