 Express Yourself Studios located at 1877 Springfield Avenue in Maplewood, NJ has posted its Summer Art Workshop schedule. The Summer Art Workshop is offered June 25 - August 24 for children ages 5 - 12. The workshop provides participants with the opportunity to experiment with a variety of media in a fun and supportive environment. Children will be encouraged to use their imagination freely.
Participants will create 10-15 art projects per week. The projects are inspired by different Master Artists. Children will learn about the Artists through discussions, examples, and art-making. Projects include painting, drawing, mixed media collage, sculpture (relative to the artists). An exhibition and reception featuring students’ artwork will be held at the conclusion of each workshop week. Weekly Schedule - $200 Weekly*** Week 1 June 25 - June 29 Sculpture Week 2 July 2 – July 6* Abstract Art Week 3 July 9 - July 13 Mixed Media Week 4 July 16 - July 20 African-American Masters Week 5 July 23 - July 27 Pop Art Week 6 July 30 - August 3 Women in the Arts Week 7 August 6 - August 10 20th Century Masters Week 8 August 13 - August 17 Asian Art Week 9 August 20 - August 24 Latin Artists *$160 Reduced week due to the 4th of July Holiday. Camp meets July 2, 3, 5, 6 only **$175 per week if enrollment and registration is completed prior to March 31, 2018 ***$175 per week if registering for 2 or more weeks or multiple children. Express Yourself Studios is an art studio and art gallery dedicated to being an outlet for children and adults to express themselves creatively via classes in the arts. As well as a space where artist are welcome to display their work and create utilizing the studio’s space. The Studio offers Pinot & Pottery, Cocktails & Canvas, Coffee & Canvas, and Wine Glass Painting Workshops for adults and weekly Art Classes and a Summer Art Workshop, for children; as well as hosts Private Art Workshops, Birthday Parties and other art events throughout the year.
