Express Yourself Studios, located at 1877 Springfield Avenue in Maplewood will host a Winter Break Mini-Camp February 14 and February 17 - 21, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM, children ages 4-10 are welcome to join Express Yourself Studios for 3-hours of art and fun!  Register for the full session (February 17 – 21) or for a day or a few days (February 14, 17 – 21).
Be inspired creating paintings using a mix of mediums (acrylics, watercolor, and pastels) and other projects using a myriad of materials (clay sculptures & paper collages).
All materials included, 3-hours of studio time, $200 for the full session February 17 – 21 (sibling full session rate: $175) or register for a day or two, $50 per child/ per day or multi-day/child rate $45 per day.

​Express Yourself Studios, located at 1877 Springfield Avenue in Maplewood is currently accepting enrollment for Art Explorations a new seasonal (Fall, Winter, Spring) children's art workshop.

Art Exploration is great for children ages 6+ who are interested in exploring different art genres, drawing and painting, mixed media and sculpture. The session meets Wednesdays for 6-weeks, 4:30 - 5:30 devoting 2-sessions to each art form.  ​All materials are included, and sibling rates are available.

Winter Classes begin January 8. Registration deadline January 1.

Drawing & Painting (2 sessions)

Working from still life, photographs, images from art history and/or independent themes and ideas, students will be introduced to specific drawing and painting fundamentals and techniques. These include line drawing, value, shape, pattern, texture, shading and highlighting. While experimenting with a variety tools, media and techniques.

Mixed Media (2 sessions)

Students will create different, unique and individualized art pieces through a variety of themes and subject matter. Learn many art techniques, while creating diverse and imaginative projects. Projects will include drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, clay and numerous mixed media-based concepts, using an array of fun and tactile materials and inspiration from various artists from art history. 

Sculpture (2 sessions)

Enjoy the highly tactile medium of clay! In this hands-on studio program, Students will learn some basic clay, pottery, and sculpture concepts using different tools and hand-building techniques: pinching, coiling, slab construction and modeling. Additionally, students will gain experience working with basic three-dimensional materials, such as clay and wood, paper, wire and fiber.

​Express Yourself Studios, located at 1877 Springfield Avenue in Maplewood will host one of their favorite holiday traditions, Cookies & Canvas, Sunday, December 22.  This family-friendly workshop is open to the entire family, for all to participate (best for children ages 5+).

Join us between 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM (on the hour) and paint a colorful holiday painting on canvas choose from either a reindeer, snowman or penguin and enjoy cookies and cider.

The workshop fee is $25 per person (5 or more participants the workshop fee is $20 per guest),   all materials required to facilitate the workshop are included.  To join Family Art register 2-3 days in advance.  Everyone leaves with a frame-worthy piece of artwork.

​Join Express Yourself Studios located at 1877 Springfield Avenue in Maplewood for a special Wine Bottle Painting session. Bring your favorite beverage and explore your creative side and enjoy an afternoon of creativity, while we paint a beautiful wine bottle.

No experience necessary, you will be guided step-by-step, the main objective is to have fun! Leave with a custom painted wine bottle with fairy lights to illuminate your bottle once it dries {one (1), 25.4 oz. clear wine bottle and one (1) cork fairy light strand per person}.

Wine Bottle Painting is great for groups and organization, baby and bridal showers, or birthday parties (ask about our private sessions), $35 per person (unless otherwise noted) all supplies and materials provided {includes one (1) wine bottle, (1) cork fairy light strand}. Purchase additional bottles for $5 each.
