 Express Yourself Studios’ 2021 Summer Art Workshop will include both in person (June 28 - August 20) and virtual options (June 7 - August 20) for children ages 5-10.
Both camp options will provide children with the opportunity to experiment with a variety of media while learning about various artists, a particular process/technique and art genres. Projects include painting, drawing, mixed media, collage, sculpture and printmaking (relative to the camp week). In Person Camp In Person Camp (Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 12 PM) is limited to 8 campers weekly, no drops-in permitted. Weekly Schedule - $275 Weekly Week 1 June 28 - July 2 Sculpture Week 2 July 5 - July 9 Cartooning Week 3 July 12 - July 16 Women in the Arts Week 4 July 19 - July 23 Abstract Art Week 5 July 26 - July 30 African-American Artists Week 6 August 2 - August 6 Printmaking Week 7 August 9 - August 13 Asian Artists Week 8 August 16 - August 20 Latin Artists ***$250 per week if registering for 2 or more weeks or multiple children Virtual Art Camp Virtual Summer Art Camp will be offered June 7 - August 20, Monday - Friday, 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM or join us 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM EST (via Zoom). These sessions are best for children ages 5 and older. Campers will be introduced to a new artist each day and will learn about the artists' techniques through discussion and examples. Through live, step by step guidance, campers will complete 1 project inspired by the artists' artwork and their particular process each day (5 hours/5 projects by the close of each weekly camp session). Each camp session is a thoughtfully curated introduction to a diverse group of master artists. Projects include painting, drawing and mixed media.
