Express Yourself Studios’ 2023 Summer Art Workshop will be offered June 26 - August 25, Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM for children ages 6 - 11. The Summer Art Workshop provides children with the opportunity to experiment with a variety of media while learning about various artists, a particular process/technique and art genres. Projects include painting, drawing, mixed media, collage, sculpture and printmaking (relative to the camp week). The weekly Workshop fee is $300 per week, sibling and multi-week rates available ($275 per week for multiple weeks of camp or registering more than 1 child). These sessions are best for children ages 5 and older. Campers will be introduced to a new artist each day and will learn about the artists' techniques through discussion and examples. Through live, step by step guidance, campers will complete 1 project inspired by the artists' artwork and their particular process each day (5 hours/5 projects by the close of each weekly camp session). Each camp session is a thoughtfully curated introduction to a diverse group of master artists. Projects include painting, drawing and mixed media.  Express Yourself Studios will offer Winter Art Workshops virtually for children (ages 5 -12). There are a wide variety of classes to choose from. Workshops include Mixed Media, Sculpture and Drawing & Painting and are offered in 5-week sessions. All workshops are in Eastern Standard Time.
Workshop Schedule Session I - January 11 - February 11 Session II - February 15 - March 18 Mixed Media - Ages 5 - 7 Mondays - 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM (EST) Mondays - 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM (EST) This workshop is perfect for the child who wants to learn many art techniques, while creating diverse and imaginative projects. Each student will create different, unique and individualized art pieces through a variety of themes and subject matter. Projects will include drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, clay and numerous mixed media-based concepts, using an array of fun and tactile materials and techniques. Students will also be introduced to various techniques and artists from art history. Sculpture - Ages 8 - 12 Tuesdays - 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM (EST) Tuesdays - 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM (EST) Workshop participants will develop and refine a variety of hand-building techniques: pinching, coiling, slab construction and modeling. Drawing & Painting - Ages 8 - 12 Thursdays - 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM (EST) Thursdays - 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM (EST) Young artists will develop their artistic skills while having fun discovering their own personal style. Working from still life, photographs, images from art history and/or independent themes and ideas, students will be introduced to specific drawing and painting fundamentals and techniques.
